E2ECrypt Privacy Policy
E2ECrypt utilizes hybrid end-to-end encryption to provide storage, messaging, and email integration to users worldwide (“Services”). Your content, and messages, are always end-to-end encrypted, so they can never be shared or viewed by anyone but yourself and the intended recipients (“confidants”).

Information you provide

Information. You provide information to your device about yourself and your communication confidants. This information is end-to-end encrypted on your device only. This information is sent encrypted to your confidants as a means of connecting and exchanging cryptographic keys for secure communication. This information is never sent to Oboren or third-parties.

Messages. E2ECrypt cannot decrypt or otherwise access the content of your text messages or emails. E2ECrypts hands your encrypted content directly over to certain third-party applications, like iMessage or your preferred email application, for delivery to your selected confidant. Neither iMessage or your email provider can read the encrypted messages created in E2ECrypt. Only your selected confidant can decrypt and read communications from you.
Oboren houses no servers, and no information from your device(s) is collected or held by the company.

Confidants. Oboren can not optionally discover your confidants. Your confidants and their identifying information are known only to you and the applications you use to communicate. This information is always held encrypted in E2ECrypt on your device.

User Support. If you contact E2ECrypt User Support, any personal data you may share with us is kept only for the purposes of researching the issue and contacting you about your case.

Information we may share
Third Parties. In the future we may work with third parties to provide some of our Services. In those cases, the privacy policies or those entities will govern their interaction with you.

Other instances where Oboren may need to share your data
• To meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
• To enforce applicable Terms, including investigation of potential violations.
• To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
• To protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of E2ECrypt, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.

We will update this privacy policy as needed so that it is current, accurate, and as clear as possible. Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our updated Privacy Policy.
